January 15, 2017, 7:00 PM    A Festival of French Favorites

Location: First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3604 Chatham Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042

Featuring music of Bizet, Debussy, Gounod, Offenbach, Saint-Saëns, & others, with narration by WBJC-FM’s Jonathan Palevsky, vocal soloist Denée Barr, dancers from Dance Connections, a special video of scenes from France, and a post-concert reception with French bonbons. Featuring Rheinberger’s Organ Concerto No. 1 in F with Nancy Stavely, organ soloist; Neruda’s Trumpet Concerto in Eb and Purcell’s Sonata for Trumpet & Strings in D with Luis Engelke, trumpet soloist; and, Respighi’s Ancient Airs & Dances Suite # 3 for Strings, and Hubert Parry’s Lady Radnor’s Suite. HCCO Performances with Other Organizations

HCCO performs with the Columbia Pro Cantare on October 22, 2016 at 8:00 PM for their Gala 40th Anniversary Celebration at the Jim Rouse Theatre.

 

HCCO joins the Bach Choir of Baltimore to perform Baroque favorites in the Harrisburg, PA festival Music by the River at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on February 11, 2017 at 7:00 PM.

 

HCCO joins T. Herbert Dimmock, director, and the combined choirs of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Pine Street Presbyterian Church, and Market Square Presbyterian Church to perform Joseph Haydn’s dramatic Mass in Time of War at the Harrisburg, PA Music by the River at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on April 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM.

 

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Columbia’s founding with the Columbia Pro Cantare and the HCCO on May 14, 2017 at 8:00 PM at the Jim Rouse Theatre.
